How Do you Pray?

How do you pray? Prayer is a communion, a coming together in a state of Oneness. It is like when you feel very close to somebody, very transparent. You know you are so loved. There is a heart, a feeling, a comfort…it is a relationship of love. Grace can carry you there.
I look at my good Shepherd and I feel care, devotion, closeness. I can feel loved and cherished, and know that I am watched over day and night. If I fall in a mud puddle, I’ll be picked up and cleaned off. If I get caught in the thistles and vines, and cannot find my way out, I know my Shepherd is waiting for me to look to him to get me out. This certainty of Love and care is our foundation. We can expand from that initial closeness and be able to breathe in Life from all over, and breathe that Life out to others.

“They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger not thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them.” Isaiah 49:9-10
