The New Christ Identity

thought for the day - Apr 21, 17

When you receive the new covenant, you find yourself, without any effort, living out from this new Christ identity. Christ is wherever the visible expression of God appears. It is everywhere. The problem is, to us it is only where we choose to see it. We can choose to see it, or we can stay in a coma, a mortal walking through the maze we erroneously call life. The consequence of living in the mortal identity is suffering, death, accidents, sickness, misery.
Do not stop there, but honor Christ by taking on this new creation personally. (Read Hebrews, Ch. 9-10)
Jesus did remove mortality, but you invite it back in. Inside your soul you have an open door and it lets things in. Repentance is like a bath in your soul, washing away everything that has accumulated there. Then you receive the new identity.

“Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18
